No one in Wisconsin should have to face Parkinson’s alone.

The Wisconsin Parkinson Association exists to ensure that every person affected by Parkinson’s disease in Wisconsin has access to hope, community, support, and trusted resources.

Through education, connection, and practical guidance, we help individuals and families navigate Parkinson’s with greater confidence and support.

Thousands of Individuals Reached this Year

Through our programs, events, and digital resources, WPA reaches thousands of individuals and families across Wisconsin annually.

Why Our Work Matters

Parkinson’s disease affects far more than movement. It can impact speech, sleep, mood, cognition, swallowing, balance, and everyday independence.

For many individuals and families, the journey can feel overwhelming—especially when access to specialized information and support is limited.

A newly diagnosed person may leave a clinic with more questions than answers. A care partner may struggle to find guidance as symptoms change. Families in rural communities may have few Parkinson’s-specific resources nearby.
The Wisconsin Parkinson Association exists to ensure that no one has to navigate Parkinson’s alone.

A Voice from Our Community

“When I was first diagnosed, I felt completely lost. Finding WPA helped me realize I wasn’t alone. The support groups, education, and people I met gave me confidence and hope again.”

Rooted in Wisconsin

WPA is a grassroots Wisconsin nonprofit organization founded in 1984.

All funds raised stay in Wisconsin to support people living with Parkinson’s throughout our state. Because we are local, we understand the communities we serve and the importance of building trusted relationships with individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and community partners.

Our programs reflect the real experiences of people living with Parkinson’s across Wisconsin.

Together, We Move Forward

Parkinson’s affects more than movement—it touches every part of life.

The Wisconsin Parkinson Association is here to ensure that no one has to navigate that journey alone. Through education, connection, and community, we are building a stronger Parkinson’s support network across Wisconsin.
