Thank You for Leading with Compassion

Support group facilitators are a vital part of the Wisconsin Parkinson Association community. By creating welcoming spaces for connection, understanding, and encouragement, you help people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones feel less alone and more supported.

Whether you are a longtime facilitator or just getting started, WPA is here to support you with practical tools, guidance, and ongoing connection.

You Help Build Community

A support group is more than a meeting. It is a place where people can share lived experiences, learn from one another, and find hope in the company of others who understand the Parkinson’s journey.

As a facilitator, you help set the tone for that experience. You encourage conversation, create a safe and respectful environment, and help participants feel seen, heard, and valued.

Join Our Monthly Facilitator Forum

Support group leaders are invited to attend our monthly virtual Facilitator Forum, held on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 1:30–2:30 p.m.

This forum is a space to connect with other facilitators from across Wisconsin, share ideas, ask questions, talk through challenges, and learn from one another. It is a valuable opportunity to build confidence, strengthen your group leadership, and stay connected to WPA.

To receive the meeting link, please contact WPA at mail@wiparkinson.org.
